Take Care Of Numero Uno

In my short time on this earth I have
learned a few things about life pretty early.

You see first and foremost,
your life itself is a gift,
be thankful and learn to take care
of that life as if it is a gift.

Second, whenever you receive a gift
you or like most people are thankful and
wish to give something in return,
but what do you give to the people who
brought you into being?
Nothing can repay that debt but what
you can do is make sure you live this
life you're granted like no one else has.
I have never heard a mother say "I'm so
proud of so and so, their life is depressing
but at least they are living."

Third, I say all this to prove my point
that it is not being selfish to take care
of you and please yourself. No one else
is looking out for you, like you.

Have a dream, Go for it!

Have a goal, Accomplish it!!

This up and down hill adventure you call higher learning

or thirty page readings that never seemed to end,

ambiguous instructors who didn't know what they wanted
just knew that whatever you handed them, wasn't it

my endless supporters, people who think what they
went to school for was better than you

yet as I look to my left and look to my right,

I feel alone, in a room packed full of individuals,
Pure spotlight is on me,
